The book of important things is a three ring binder with sleeves for:

• passports

• Social security cards

• Birth and marriage certificates

• TSA precheck approvals

• Immunization records

• Banking and loan docs

• Estate planning docs

• Last years tax docs

This is the "grab in case of a fire" binder, and the binder I'm consistently referencing for school registrations, booking flights, tax filings, etc etc.
