The neighborhood listserv

You need a neighborhood listserv. However you define it - your building, your block, etc. if one doesn't exist, be the change baby. Go around and collect name, address, email and phone number and send out the spreadsheet to the group. Then use it! Ask if anyone has a 10' ladder or a Madeline baking pan. Ask if they want to go in on a big item junk pick up. People love to be helpful. Make sure to add new families moving in and introduce them to the group via a welcome email. a small lift that goes a big way to build community. This is not a job for social media, Nextdoor is a hellscape. Email only.
